  • Born in Levoca, Czechoslovakia (now part of Slovakia)
  • 1976-1980 Studied applied photography at the Secondary School of Applied Art in Kosice, Slovakia
  • 1981-1986 Studied artistic photography at FAMU in Prague
  • 1988 became member of the graphic group “Most”
