  • Began photographing by chance in 1939 in Zlin, where he attended a factory school
  • Collaboration and friendship with Vaclav Chochola and Zdenek Tmej
  • His work was published in many periodicals, and he worked as a photographer for the National Theatre
  • 1943-1948 head of the photography department of the Lucernafilm Studios of Prague
  • 1949 joined the Association of Czech Artists
